With more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry in both Canada and England, Jonathan Lund is the Regional Vice-President at the InterContinental Hotels Group and Resorts (IHG®), Canada. Jonathan leads the Franchise Performance support Organization driving Commercial performance, Brand and Guest satisfaction initiatives and building hotels and owner relations. He also in oversees Company Managed Hotels in Canada and acts as the senior leader for IHG. Growth through acquisition and repositioning has strengthened IHG”s Canadian portfolio of 191 hotels and eight Brands including Intercontinental Hotels. Kimpton, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood suites and soon to open Avid. In addition to the Canadian estate Jonathan oversees a region in Washington state along with assets owned by Canadian owners in the USA bringing the total portfolio to over 250 Hotels. Jonathan was the previous Chairman of the IHG Owners Association Canada and is the current chair of the Hotel Association of Canada (H.A.C).

Born in Yorkshire, England, Jonathan is a graduate of Huddersfield University in Hotel Administration. His career started with Kingsmead and Trust House Forte Hotels in England. He later immigrated to Canada to join Commonwealth Hospitality. He held progressively senior roles with IHG Company managed hotels until he joined Fortis Properties in 2003 culminating in his role as Director of Hospitality Operations. 

A passionate hotelier and strong operator, he has developed a reputation for building teams that produce outstanding results. 

His passions include Rugby Union, European travel and great food and beverage. He resides in Cambridge, Ontario with his wife Eva who runs her homebased translation services business. His daughter Alexis works at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre as a clinical research study assistant in the Department of Surgical Oncology, Urology and is enrolled in a Master of Public Health. His son Spencer is a commercial pilot with FedEx.

As the leader of Owner and Franchise (OFS) Account Management across Full-service and Select Service franchisees and management companies, Roz Winegrad is a strategic business leader leveraging Marriott’s system tools and resources for franchisees to optimize revenue and operate on-strategy hotels. Managing Owner Relations across Canada, Roz also works closely with the Canadian Development team, providing support and expertise on due diligence, operational excellence, and the design process.

For the last 15 years, Roz has worked in Full Service Franchising; Owner Services account leadership and most recently led the Business Engagement and Service team in providing owner and franchise communications, initiative management, development marketing tools, OASIS support and Product Integrity leadership. Roz was responsible for creating the Initiative Management framework, launched MI360 for owner and franchisee communications, and led various strategic projects including the annual FDD Update process, MINA meetings and the Owner and Franchise Survey. Prior to her corporate roles, Roz spent several years working on-property in leadership roles in culinary, F&B, operations and Director of Catering at the New York Marquis.

John Howard is the Director of Brand Performance with Hilton Worldwide - in this capacity, as part of Hilton’s owner relations he works closely to manage and develop relationships with 46 key partners to align strategies and provide support through various interactions.  Prior, he was with a team in Brand Performance where he was responsible for 50 full-service hotels.  He was also a Hilton General Manager for 10 years where him and his teams won numerous Hilton awards.  While in school, he got his start in the hotel business as a bartender and graduated from the University of North Carolina Charlotte.  In his spare time, he enjoys flipping houses, fishing, skiing, boating and spending time with his family traveling.

Armand is a results-oriented hotel executive with a solid track record of achieving top performance in the areas of guest services, sales, growth, profitability, quality and consistently surpassing brand standards.

Mark has spent 23 of his 31 year career in the business of the hospitality experience with IHG.  Over this time Mark developed his acumen in Revenue Management for several Holiday Inn’s across Ontario, and further in revenue and sales as Director of Transient Sales specializing in the wholesale and crew segments and leading transient sales efforts with a team of call center agents representing 6 hotels in Ontario. In 2010 Mark joined IHG’s Revenue Management for Hire Department as a Portfolio Revenue Manager with the Comprehensive Revenue Management team, leading a diverse portfolio including luxury and mid-scale multi-segmented hotels in Toronto and in Pittsburgh. Over the last 10 years, Mark has been a pivotal part of the Franchise Performance Support team offering his expertise, building trust, and engaging in purposeful interaction supporting Owners and Operators across Canada and the USA in achieving superior asset performance in the areas of Service, Sales and Revenue.

Prior to IHG, Mark started his career defining his discipline in front office/room division operations including creating on line training programs for Delta Hotels and Resorts and moved on to Rooms Division and General Management positions with several Choice Hotels across Ontario with recognition for superior guest service excellence, optimizing housekeeping efficiency, and negotiating collective agreements/union contracts.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Commerce with honours from the University of Guelph. Mark lives in Oakville and enjoys home improvement projects, cycling, rollerblading & improving his culinary skills in the kitchen.  He enjoys spending holidays with Sister, Brother-in-law, nieces and nephew in Orlando.

Mr. Tony Elenis is President & CEO of the Ontario Restaurant Hotel and Motel Association, the largest provincial hospitality association in Canada representing approximately 4,000 members and 11,000 establishments in the hospitality sector. Tony was appointed to this position in April of 2008.

As an Ontario hospitality leader with over 35 years of industry experience and a proven track record of positive contributions to hospitality and management, Tony Elenis is dedicated to supporting the hospitality and tourism industry of Ontario. Prior to his arrival at the ORHMA, Tony managed high achieving hotels in working for InterContinental Group of Hotels, for 27 years. 

Tony is a past Chairman of the Ontario Restaurant Hotel & Motel Association (ORHMA) and also sits on the Board of Directors for the Hotel Association of Canada (HAC). Tony’s other passion lies within the World of Food and Wine, its lore and its history. His expertise and creativity in food and beverage operations is well recognized within the industry. He sits on industry boards including the Vintners Quality Alliance (VQA) and is a participant with hospitality schools and government related advisory and steering committees.   

Tony’s wealth of experience allows him to understand the issues and recognize the economic realities faced by the industry. His proven leadership and strategic abilities are indispensable in meeting the diverse needs of the ORHMA members and in enhancing the industry’s competitive position. He recognizes that the hospitality industry needs to be continually progressive, and that it needs to be proactive. Tony has a wealth of network and contacts in place to ensure that the industry’s voice is heard across the province.

Tony presently resides in Bolton, Ontario with his wife Elaine and their two sons Andrew and John Anthony.

Tammy Gillis is a recognized thought leader and influencer in the hospitality industry in the areas of sales and sales leadership.  She is the founder and CEO of Gills Sales.  Tammy’s company disrupted the traditional hotel sales model in 2014 and launched a Dynamic Sales Solution providing remote sales support for hotels.  She works with hotels, brands, and management companies to elevate their sales performance through her speaking and consulting engagements.
 
Tammy launched her sales career 28 years ago and has led high-performing teams with Hilton Hotels, BlackBerry, and her current team of 40 sales professional who provide sales support to over 200 hotels across North America.  
 
Tammy has trained thousands of sales professionals, hotel owners, general managers, and front-line associates, earning her a Training Excellence Award from the Institute for Performance and Learning.  She is on Program Advisory Committee for Humber College, an allied member of AAHOA, and a Platinum allied member of IHG Owners Association.   She wrote and published a book in 2021 called “Room to Grow” to ensure sales has an equal seat at the table and to encourage hotels not to leave sales to chance.

Beata is leading IHG Canada to build a strong profile for IHG and the brands it operates across Canada and in Hospitality Industry.   Create and establish strategic direction & focus for commercial, marketing and revenue management for Regional Markets .  

Act as a market champion across the commercial disciplines to ensure a cohesive response to owner and market needs  and develop Canadian partnerships to better position the hotels for additional exposure and consideration.

Provide an owner centric revenue delivery model with focus on market mix, ensure Hotel Sales and Marketing teams have proper tools, training and opportunities to provide Best in Class Sales.

Dani is an Area Manager in the Toronto Office with 20 years working in the Tourism and Hospitality industry. Since joining Booking in 2012, has been dedicating her time to support hotel partners by understanding better the customer journey and market trends.

Offer support to Hotel sales teams through consultative delivery with a keen understanding of the needs of teams across Canada.  

Develop strong performance and reinforce sales processes while incorporating IHG Way of Sales and best practices for Best-in-Class Sales teams. 

Natalie is the industry sales experts that have high cross functional Marketing knowledge. 
 

Lester lead Revenue Management for all hotels in Canada, including RMH hotels, CMH hotels and non-RMH hotels.  

Develop strategic plans to optimize performance of specific regions/specific brands/specific hotels.  Develop, implement and oversee strategies and tools for optimal performances results of the entire portfolio in Canada.

Lester also participate in development of key global revenue management initiatives.  Manage the development, implementation and assessment of revenue-related strategies for hotels.  Assist in leadership of RMH Canada team and non RMH hotels by providing revenue management strategies and tactics to maximize revenue and profits streams. 
 

Drive the development, implementation and operation of both strategic and tactical programs designed to enhance revenue management services penetration and deliver significant competitive advantage for the Company.

Sara is an Account Manager in the Toronto Office with 13 years working in the Tourism and Hospitality industry. Since joining Booking in 2011, has been dedicating her time to support hotel partners to increase conversion, retain revenue and decrease workload by using B.com latest solutions.
